Business Litigation
Our Clients
Lewis & Kaplan represents corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and other business entities with local, national and international operations. Some of the businesses and principals who have called upon Lewis & Kaplan to help them resolve their disputes: a large supermarket chain, a renowned university, technology firms, an international aid organization, a radio station, the largest marketing and staffing firm in the world, and executives and principals of investment funds, development firms and business consultants.
We listen carefully to our clients, and together develop an appropriate strategy. Our attorneys have sound judgment and extensive experience, and we know our way around the courtroom. Our approach is to be aggressive and our goal is to win and to do this as efficiently as possible.
Our Practice
Litigation should be approached like any other business decision. We understand that our business clients prefer to focus their efforts on their core competencies rather than spend time and resources in the courtroom. At the outset of our engagement, we assist our clients in analyzing the investment they are likely to make in the lawsuit, and the expected return on that investment. Based on this level-headed analysis, we urge our clients to make sound decisions when they decide whether to file suit, how to conduct the litigation, and whether, when and on what terms to settle.
Lewis & Kaplan represents businesses and their principals in a wide variety of business litigation. We have litigated and successfully resolved disputes involving contracts, fiduciary duties, unfair trade practices, employment, noncompetition agreements, intellectual property, fraud, business torts and closely-held businesses.
