Brian Kaplan specializes in complex business and real estate litigation. He represents businesses, individuals, municipalities and nonprofits in a wide variety of disputes concerning real estate (including zoning, land use, permitting, development, acquisition, financing, construction, design and commercial leasing) and business matters (including contracts, fiduciary duties, unfair trade practices, employment matters, noncompetition agreements, intellectual property, fraud, business torts and closely-held businesses). Brian regularly appears in state and federal courts both at the trial and appellate level and before arbitrators, mediators, municipal boards and state agencies.
Before founding the firm, Brian spent several years as a member of the Trial Department at Hill & Barlow. Brian is a graduate of Tufts University (B.A.) and the Georgetown University Law Center (J.D., magna cum laude), where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and won awards for excellence in the study of Constitutional Law and Environmental Law, and for completing the first year ranked number one. The publisher of Boston Magazine named Brian a “Super Lawyer Rising Star” in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
