Brian S. Kaplan specializes in complex business and real estate litigation. He represents businesses, individuals, public entities and nonprofits in a wide variety of disputes concerning real estate (including zoning, land use, permitting, development, acquisition, financing, construction, design and commercial leasing) and business matters (including contracts, fiduciary duties, unfair trade practices, employment, fraud, business torts and closely-held businesses).
Brian practices in the state and federal trial and appellate courts, and before mediators and arbitrators. Brian’s work has been the subject of articles in such publications as The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly and Banker and Tradesman, among others. The publisher of Boston Magazine has repeatedly named Brian a "Super Lawyer Rising Star." Brian has also served as a lecturer and panelist for the Boston Bar Association.
Before founding the firm, Brian spent several years as a member of the Trial Department at Hill & Barlow. Brian is a graduate of Tufts University (B.A.) and the Georgetown University Law Center (J.D., magna cum laude), where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and won awards for excellence in the study of Constitutional Law and Environmental Law, and for completing the first year ranked number one.
